new: this is officially my last post to livejournal. ever. full stop.

new: i saw a great movie called "the beat that my heart skipped" tonight. it has everything... like seriously: french techno, russian gansters, violence (a synthesis of the prior two!) and hookers. it was really really good.

new: a ton of my friends are getting engaged all of the sudden, and it's pissing me off.

new: i realized that i've never used a fax machine that has actually consistently worked.

new: my back hurts. i think i'm sleeping wrong.

new: the three gay guys in port townsend have all decided to hit on me. this is in no way related to the previous point. i'm waiting for the catfight to erupt.

new: i bought a used copy of "American Gods" today. maybe i'll get around to reading it soon. i'm reading "Masters of Doom" right now (today-- it's a fast read)... it's about id software and the heyday of video games. the kinda shit that has blurbs from wired magazine but not even from the venerable Washington Post Book World on the back.

new: i'm sunburnt.

new: i saw a great gypsy band this past saturday night called "Vagabond Opera". cool stuff. i drink vodka when i listen to gypsy music, whiskey when i read, and gin when i socialize. i'm learning that i tend to like whiskey drinking nights best, but maybe that's just because i've drunk too much gin and vodka in the past.

new: still haven't found a decent pair of pin-striped pants. the search, which has preoccupied me for a year and a half now, continues.

new: i've secured a place to stay in seattle for a night or two the first week of october. i'll have to get in touch with neal. it'll be my first time actually hanging out in seattle. we'll see how it goes.

new: my dog is lovely, but i worry because she is getting older, and i think her eyesight is starting to go.

have i missed anything? email me or something, seeing as how i can no longer communicate over livejournal. oh, and a ton of y'all have my phone number now, and i hardly ever get calls. email is still probably better, though.
